A versatile and skilled musician, Alex possesses a wide range of experience as both a performer and practitioner. Having achieved undergraduate and master's degrees in music at King's College London and Goldsmiths, University of London respectively, Alex has built a freelance career encompassing both amateur and professional performance alongside musical education, with a particular passion for choral music and music for the stage.

TENOR

Alex is an accomplished soloist and onstage performer, singing in concerts both in London and across the country.

 

A highly experienced choral singer, Alex appears regularly with the professional choir at St John’s Wood Parish Church and with other churches and choral societies across the capital.

TEACHER

With over ten year’s experience in music education, Alex has developed a passion for helping others, both adults and children, to improve themselves as musicians and fulfil their musical goals.

As a piano tutor Alex works to bring out the best in his students each week, motivating them to improve and enjoy their playing both in lessons and at home. Alex encourages students to consider all elements of their music and works to foster independent thinking and self-evaluation in lessons.

Trained in piano with Catherine Lam and Nadav Hertzka, Alex has a wealth of experience providing accompaniment for schools, choirs, theatre groups and soloists - often whilst conducting!

COMPOSER

Alex specialises in choral and vocal music for both adult and children's choirs.
His setting of Edward Lear’s ‘The Duck and the Kangaroo’ for children’s choir premiered at the Wandsworth Schools’ Music Mayor’s Gala Concert in 2017.
